Why Blog About RCM Blitz?

My friends think I'm a nerd! I told them recently that I write a blog about my company Reliability Solutions, Inc. , my product RCM Blitz and about RCM Facilitator Training. This was the conversation one night at dinner with clients and fellow consultants at IMC2006. The conversation went something like this:

Doug - Hey, I was wondering are any of you guys blogging about your business or products?

Reply - Blogging.....What the heck is blogging ?

Doug - Its a form of communication where you can post letters, notes and articles about your business and things your interested in. If people search for your company or products in Google or as a Blog they can find the articles and it's another great way to find new clients.

Reply - And, you have time to do this?

Doug - Sure it only takes a few minutes a week or month to sit down at the lap top and write something up and post it.

Reply - Wow, your a real nerd!

Well it guess that could be true, but I just don't deal well with being bored and this gives me something to do. Sometimes people even read these and write back! Now that my friends is technology at its best!

RCM at Small to Midsized Companies

Each year I attend about six conferences with hopes to accomplish two things; first is to present a RCM Blitz case study with one of our successful clients, the second is to meet some new potential clients and answer some pressing questions they might have about Reliability Centered Maintenance.

In December I attended IMC2006 (International Maintenance Conference) in Daytona Beach, Florida. Invista's Paul Zmick and I presented a paper on implementing RCM from a corporate perspective. While at this conference I also attended a roundtable discussion on RCM in effort to help answer questions some companies had concerning Reliability Centered Maintenance.

The question discussed the longest at the roundtable was how does a small to midsized company get started with RCM? The perception is that larger companies have the money to spend on training and small to midsized companies do not. The reality when it comes to small and midsized companies is they have the money, it needs to be spent wisely and it should show a return on investment. When they train people they expect to see results come from the money they invested in the training.

The RCM Blitz methodology was built to help maintenance organizations show that return on training, analysis, and implementation investment. While earning my stripes in the world of maintenance it did not take me long to learn that if I wanted to make change happen, I needed to build a business case for that change and show the results management to continue forward. The RCM Blitz facilitator training is the only RCM Facilitator Training program that clearly instructs facilitators on how to select the correct assets and show results! Over the past seven years Reliability Solutions, Inc. has trained and certified hundreds of RCM Facilitators for companies around the world.

If your company is interested in RCM, contact Reliability Solutions, Inc. and train RCM Facilitators who will show results!
