As we provide RCM Facilitator Training around the globe we are often asked about different RCM software providers. Which RCM software tool is the best? Easiest to use or most cost effective?

Software seems to excite people, the more functionality the software has, the more people tend to like it or "need to have it".

In reality, the software or RCM Database your company is using will have little to do with the success of your effort. The software/database is nothing more that a tool that collects data reported in the analysis phase and sorts that data into different reports. I have yet to see a report from any database or software that completes the task by writing a PM and placing that PM into a schedule. Regardless of what package you use, people will still have to implement the tasks that come out of the RCM analysis.

Understanding that fact, that people will still have to implement the findings/tasks that come out of your RCM analyses, your company should be using the most cost effective software/database that will, store your data, sort your data into useable reports, and accurately track and report the progress of your RCM implementation.
